Dips and Spreads

 

Pepper Jelly Pecan Cheese Spread

  • 1 lb. finely grated Cheddar cheese
  • ½ c. finely chopped pecans
  • ¼ - ½ c. mayonnaise
  • ½ c. chopped green onion
  • ½ tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/3 c. Proud Pepper Jelly Co. jelly, any flavor

Stir together first five ingredients and mix well.  Press into pie plate.  Top with your favorite flavor of Proud Pepper Jelly Co. jelly.  Serve with buttery crackers.

Raspbanero Cheese Ball

  • 1 (8 oz.) package of cream cheese, softened
  • 2 Tbsp. sherry
  • ¼ c. chopped walnuts
  • ¼ c. Raspbanero jelly

Combine cream cheese, sherry and walnuts; mixing well until blended.  Chill mixture for at least 30 minutes.  At serving time, shape cheese into a ball.  Make a hollow on the top of the cheese ball.  Spoon Raspbanero jelly into the hollow and around sides of the cheese ball.  Serve with crackers.

White Cheddar Cheese Ring

  • 1 (10 oz.) block white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 T. mayonnaise
  • 6 T. fully cooked bacon pieces
  • ¼ cup minced green onions (about 4 onions)
  • ½ cup Raspbanero or Cranbanero jelly
  • Scoop-size corn chips or crackers

Stir together first 4 ingredients until well blended.  Shape mixture into a ring with a 2-inch center on a serving platter.  Cover with plastic wrap and chill at least 2 hours.  Fill center with Raspbanero or Cranbanero jelly just before serving.  Serve with chips or crackers.
